Quilt for my grandson, Ross

Posted on August 8, 2021July 25, 2022 by Carolyn Shore

My amazing firstborn grandchild is off to the University of Ottawa as a Freshman this fall. I couldn’t be more proud of him! He has worked very hard and I know he will continue that path as he starts this new wonderful journey.

I saw the idea for this quilt as I was sitting quietly with my IPad one morning, glancing through one of my favourite quilting websites, and this panel design jumped out at me and cried “make me!” The site had all the fabric to match the panel, so I ordered what I needed right away. As most teenagers are, he’s a gamer and I thought this was perfect.

Ross,
Making this quilt for you was a labour of love. May it keep you warm and cozy, especially on those cold Canadian nights.

With all my love,
Grandma
